QUESTION: What is the teeth whitening process?

ANSWER: ANSWER: Teeth Whitening is a process that uses bleaching gel to remove discolorations and stains on your tooth enamel. Professional teeth whitening kits use custom made rubber moulds that fit your teeth accurately to keep the bleaching gel in close contact with the teeth. The teeth whitening kit contains tubes of bleaching gel and instructions on how to put the gel in the moulds. These are typically worn for 1-3 hours per day, but can also be worn overnight. Results can often be seen within a few hours, but it may take 3 to 4 weeks to fully complete the whitening process (This is the same for all home teeth whitening kits, regardless of the manufacturer). You can spread your treatment time over just a few days (if you’re in a hurry) or a few months (if you’re not). Professional strength whitening gel with carbamide peroxide is the most widely used and most effective method of whitening your teeth.

QUESTION: How does Teeth Bleaching Gel remove stains?

ANSWER: The active ingredient in our Teeth Whitening Gel is carbamide peroxide. As this breaks down, the stained organic deposits on your teeth are gently oxidised, leaving them whiter. This process leaves your teeth closer to their natural, unstained colour and leaves the structure of the teeth unchanged. Clinical tests over many years have demonstrated the safety and effectiveness of this teeth whitening process. As we age, our teeth will naturally become darker. Drinking tea, coffee, red wine or other strongly coloured food accelerates this effect, as well as smoking, which can make your teeth appear yellowed. Over 95% of people treated with teeth bleaching gel achieve some level of whitening. Crowns, bridges, bondings, and fillings do not lighten with dental bleaching systems

QUESTION: What is competitive bleaching?

ANSWER: Competitive Bleaching is the same type of bleaching that is required for top models, beauty contestants, public speakers. It's for clients who really want to get the whitest results possible. At Direct Whitening, all we do is competitive bleaching.

QUESTION: What is full cure bleaching?

ANSWER: A full curing is when the teeth are bleached beyond just the surface of the tooth. By doing a full curing of the tooth we whiten into the pulp of the of the tooth which usually makes the whitening brighter and tends to last much longer than just surfacing whitening which generally lasts only a few months.

QUESTION: How do I get started?

ANSWER: You will make an impression of your teeth at home with our easy-to-use system. You mail these back to us in the envelope provided. Our lab technicians then make custom moulds from the impressions of your teeth and return these to you, usually within 24 hours. You then apply our whitening gel inside the mould and place this over your teeth. You may wear the moulds from 15 minutes to 4 hours per day. Most people see quick results after only a few hours of bleaching time.

QUESTION: What is included in the system?

ANSWER: You will receive our complete Professional Teeth Whitening System. Complete the easy to follow, 4-point instructions on making the impressions for your custom fitted trays. You return these impressions in the pre-addressed postage paid envelope back to us and then we will process your impression trays the same day we receive them, just like we would do for a dentist, and mail them back to you at no additional cost. Unlike other procedures that offer questionable results at high prices and often require on-going maintenance, Brighter Image is affordable and offers a 100% results satisfaction guarantee. You will save money and obtain the most advanced system in whitening today.

QUESTION: How much whitening gel do you use for each treatment?

ANSWER: You use a drop of gel approximately the size of a pinhead in each tooth impression in your trays. Each system comes with enough gel for the initial whitening of your teeth and up to one year of monthly touch-ups.

QUESTION: What is a whitening tray and how does it work?

ANSWER: It is an inconspicuous, soft mould that is designed to hold the whitening gel in place and fits comfortably over the teeth. Custom-fitted trays optimize the whitening process by keeping the gel in contact with the teeth. Our custom fitted trays are very thin and very clear, made to fit your teeth perfectly.

QUESTION: How important are the custom made bleaching trays?

ANSWER: Very important. Having a mould that fits snugly on your teeth is essential to ensure proper bleaching and consistent results.

QUESTION: I already have a set of moulds. Can I purchase just the whitening gel?

ANSWER: Yes, we sell our professional strength Carbamide Peroxide whitening gel in either 6, 10 or 20 applicators. This is the same whitening gel that is sold in our complete systems and professional dental surgeries. It can be used with any dental tray in the same way as your previous whitening gel.

Remember

Most people will notice a difference in teeth whiteness quite quickly. For very heavily stained teeth it may take up to a month to get the whiteness you are looking for, so stick with it! And be realistic.it wonét happen overnight, but if you follow the instructions correctly you will get up to 11 shades whiter.
If you are unsure which strength bleaching gel to choose, just remember that our strong tooth whitening gel has a shorter treatment time. Because it is a stronger gel, it can cause sensitivity in some people. This normally disappears quickly, but if you have problems with sensitive teeth we recommend the standard gel.
